Day 15 - Our Big Big Wedding Day

semi-overcast 16 °C

It was absolutely a cool and lots of fun wedding for the Gabriels!

Again, its Ellen to write this Blog, so I can only write what I experienced and I feel from yesterday.

Got up @ 7.30am (its pretty early for me, compared to the last two weeks) for hair washing and showering. Cuz I joined Maya Mama`s to her favourite hair salon for hair-setting in the morning, whereas the hairdresser place is located in Sursee (30 mins away from Luzern by driving). Guess what, we tried to search around any closer areas has the hair salon for hair setting on Monday, but unluckily they are either closed or they don`t provide this services. Yes, our preparation was not too well-planned, we should book the hairdresser a little bit earlier in advance than just ad-hoc. haha...but my hair style turned out very great, thanks alot for Maya mama.

After that we collected tons of fresh flowers on the way hme, as it may help for little Tara to throw the flowers pieces in the wedding castle later on. When we returned hme, its gd to grab a piece of yummi pizza, then start my make-up and get change stuffs. The time was a little bit in a rush, but everything went well. When we arrived the Castle 15mins than the supposed registration time 2.30pm, amazingly all our friends and families are already waiting there outside the place.

CASTLE Wedding

When we came out of the car and catched up our friends for chit-chatting, so glad to see most of their familiar faces, and they all told me I looked "stunnning", "beautiful", "pretty"..with my white dress, hair and make-up stuff.....yes..yes.I was such a beautiful wedding girl hahaa..Of course, my Roman was very very handsome and cool with his lovely wedding suit , jeans and the matched b&w shoes... btw, thanks for all of your compliments, and I was so happy to hear that.

Inside the Castle, it looks much romantic and ambience of very classical than the day before I visited, as all the lights on inside the rooms. After all our lovely guests are seated, Roman and me walked in the wedding room, and said hallo to the registrator guy, we seated in a line in the order of Gion (Roman`s bestman), Roman, me and Ken (my bridemaid, j/k..hehe). Of course, the registrator read a very long government laws and stuff from his papers in Swiss German, at the mean time he changed his channel to English for me....after I didn`t know how long like 20mins or more....the important time was come...first its Roman said "Ja" (means yes) and then its my turn to say "Ja"..that was such a simple and sweetest word to start our marriage. Oh yup, after all we have all the cool cool pics and videos, just wanna express our special thanks to our friends Tom (very professional pics-taking), Marc (for the anytime anywhere DV taping) & Roger-san (for everywhere`s photo shootings).

After we were officially Herr & Frau Gabriel (Mr & Mrs Gabriel), we had a snack session for our guests in the castle room for chatting and wine drinking. At the mean time, we grabbed some time to go up the castle different floors for Tom`s professional photo-shooting. I found everywhere inside the castle looked really so beautiful and nice, every furniture there were precious antiques, which we would never has chance to experience in the HK wedding pics studios.

Wedding Dinner

What next? All our guests and us were moved to the next stop - Himmelrick Panoramahotel (which it located almost the same hill as the castle place) for the evening dinner. Its so cute all cars were arrived at the same time in the hotel parkings, all happy faces are walked inside the restaurant together. Luckily, the weather was sustainable for not raining till 6.30pm sth, we could enjoy quite a while panaroma scenic views from the top of the hill. We were staying outside part of the restaurant for enjoying the beautiful surroundings there, when the restaurant ppl were setting the table for us. There was not much sunshine, and the temp is a bit lower than the places under the hill. However, I was good enough to be a strong gal with my tiny tube-top dress without shivering. Yes, I like my dress alot, so I did my best to have my dress to have no jacket to cover.

Till we almost returned back to restaurant inside, I needed Maya mama`s jacket to warm me up a little bit. The very very long table set for all of us to seat side by side was lovely, as we could see most of our friends faces on the table and we could talk digonally or whatever freely. The food was yummi and in good portion (I could empty every plate in each course..how nice). During the dinner time, we have our bestman Gion to make his touching speech (in Swiss German, I`m still asking Gion for an English version for me) & Ken as a HK representative made his ad hoc speech as well, Jan made his Boy scout game form Roman and me, the most funny part was we have a group of four cute guys include Fabio, Ken, Marc & Gion to sing a songs with guitar and their colorful hairwegs, star sunglasses, Hawaii shirts, shorts, ...... everyone of us was so much entertained ^.^

Pubbing

After the so much fun dinner, I proposed them to go for pubbing afterwards, thinking it would be much more crazy to continue the great part till very late. Said bye bye and thanks to our guests, the rest of us continue to hit the road to the pub called Roadhouse. Jan & Gion danced crazily alot, they looked so much energetic than earlier (including a little bit effect after the jars and jars of beer there..), arounded 3am sth..Jan had to leave cuz he needed to drive back to Germany in the early morning and start his working day straight away (I can`t imagine how could it work for Jan, as I was damn tired after a long whole day, but the incredible unlimited energy charged superman did it....!!!). At the very end, the rest of us (Gion, Ken, Roman and me) returned hme around 4am sth...so crazily EARLY!

Yeahhhhhhhh..that was our wedding day, Roman and me are still so enjoying the big party whole day and nite long and its gonna be unforgettable moments in our lives and we would love each other more and more everyday and be the happy couple forever.

Again, thank you very much for our guests coming for our wedding and the lovely wedding gifts and cards...etc for us. Hopefully, we will have any party or gathering again soon soon.

Day 4 in the mountainous areas

10 August, 2007

sunny 18 °C

Its an amazing beautiful day with sunshine and the rain stopped. I had quite a regular time for sleeping here, we normally went sleep around 10pm or earlier, and then get up around 9pm, that`s already quite tons of sleep for me (unlike in HK, I always jump to bed around mid-nite and looks like a panda every morning to struggling for work).

So we all got up quite early yesterday, enjoy a slow breakfast and kick started our mountain trip. Actually, it take around an hr half for Maya Mama to drive from Luzern to a place called Alpnach. Just wanna tell yours, its a pure nature place, from far far away on the road we could already see the higher up mountain top with snow cover. Then, our car drove all the way up the mid of the mountain, along are tons of tons turning point, waterfalls, and the pretty village and lake views in the bottom part of the mountain area.

Finally, we arrived the mid-top part of the mountain, which is actually the middle part of the Switzerland. Its so funny to see all the real cows all around the mountains, imagine the air there is extremely clear and fresh to breath and you even could hear those lovely concerto from the Cows bells on their necks. haha...its pretty cool for the farmers whose could figure out where theirs cows located by their bell rings.

The path to the mountain top part was quite comfortable for walking, even I`m not an expert in hiking even in HK, but its good enough for me to walk around the paths next to the pieces and pieces of green grasses and with tons of little flowers. We turned out picnic on top of the mountain, where it has a pool of lake after the days of rain. Then, we visited a farmer house which they make fresh-made all the cheese like a several kg big cake out there. After all, we returned home in quite an earlytime around 3.30pm.

We took a short nap and meeting up Roma`s friends including Gion, Fabio, Roger-san for chit-chatting and dinner eating around 6pm sth. Some friends arrived after work, I had starved a while ....hungry...hungry......and we finally had real food for eating around 8.30pm...then visted another pub for a drink, we got hme a little late around mid-nite.

Guess what, I could manage to get up in around 7.45am this morning, how amazing..hehe!!!

Day 3 in Luzern

9 August, 2007 (fucking rainy)

rain 15 °C

After our long flight time (more than 15hrs) from HK->London>Zurich, not bad we could sleep well on the plane with our well-prepared neck cushsions and eye covers (its really help) and we finally arrived Switzerland. Arrived home safely and the cool thing was we do not have time lag after a long sleeping nite.

Yesterday Roman`s Mama needed to drive us around the hold day long. We kicked start by food shopping, included going to a farm to buy the damn fresh vegetables, like carrots, cucumbers, blueberries...everything is just taste soooo nice, I ate a carrot with its roots and green leaves attached instantly...yummi...afterwards, we went to Migros (a big supermarket like Parkn store & Wellcome in HK), we shopped alot sausages for our coming days eating. =)

Around 2pm, we arrived the Kriens wedding registration office (its a place close to our wedding castle in Kriens), and we SIGNed on our pre-wedding registration forms. We both found the moment was a great rehersal for our official real one later on. Guess what, I will take Roman`s family name after marriage;may be its a little bit strange for my Chinese names translation combination, i.e. Wan Ngok Gabriel. Hopefully, I can have my name a bit easier soon.

Roman and Maya Mama searched out 3 possible hotel restaurants for our wedding party, two of them are located on the hills, which you can oversee all beautiful scenics in the neighbourhood areas, and the other one was located next to the beautiful Luzern lake. 3_CIMG5315.jpgWill see...all our guests in Swiss; you guys will get the confirmation real soon.
